About

Savanah-Kui Tukariri (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāpuhi) is a multi-passionate māori creative. Kapa Haka is the foundation of her art; she teaches Māori Movement at Movement Art Practice and is the Head tutor for the upcoming youth company M.A.K.E. at MAP in 2023. ‘URUAO’ is co-created by Kerepeti Paraone (Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Hine) a filmmaker, musician and professional haututū. The duo are 3rd generation kaihaka of Te Ahikaaroa Kapa Haka, two parts of ‘Project Miere’ a collaborative music group and founders of Kororātahi Creative. They weave their love of haka and all things te ao māori into music, dance and film here in Te Waipounamu.
